Is there a question here?
She is lucky. I want to do that but am majority breadwinner and my husband can’t seem to find it in himself to go out and make more money so that I have choices (I put-earn him by 4x). Even though he knows I am under incredible stress and possibly could get laid off. He is also attorney, for context.
Hmm, are you sure you won't become bitter later on though?
I can tell you from experience your wife is going to appreciate you doing this. I also was in a similar position as your wife and my husband offered to support me. I ended up taking 6 months leave and when I came back I switched roles.
I supported my husband when he stayed home for almost 3 years. I was happy to do it. He went back to a better job with 50% raise and equity. It was worth it! And I know he would be happy to do the same for me. That’s love

Sometimes women just want to hear that and know they have the support should they need it. She might never decide to, but knowing she could quit and take a few months off till she finds her next job might be all the mental break she needs. Good job OP!
I've been unhappy at work for 8 years. My husband knows and just tells me to "suck it up and appreciate that I have a good job". We have our reasons for me to keep working, but I didn't think it would take this long.
Kudos to you for supporting her. Maybe she just needs a break or a career change. Ask her how else you can support her.
