Ey peeps , what's the difference between the role assistant director and manager in EY? Both same hierarchy wise?
Question for EY folks, my husband applied to a CBS assistant director role. We know it's internal, so we're guessing the salary range is different. What's the normal range for an internal assistant director?
What happens after a financial analyst role? Do you go straight to Director/Assistant Director?
A recruiter reached out for an assistant director of strategy role for a company I’d really like to work for. Requirements say “Strong analytical experience working with large data sets and building models in Excel·” but I don’t have modeling experience. Should I still take the call or would that be a deal breaker?
What level position is assistant director at EY and what's the typical pay range for someone with a top tier MBA in advisary ?
Is an Assistant Director at EY one level below Director/Partner or would it be more of a administrative/secretarial position?

How important is the number of years that you spent at your firm when you are being considered for partner position?
Hello 🐠, is anyone hiring for Mid to Sr. level AD / designer roles? Agency or in house, in NYC. Any leads would be appreciated!
EY recruiter reached out for a role in a practice that I’m not particularly interested in. I’ve been going through the steps while suggesting other roles, but they dismiss them. Any advice on how to handle this? Is it a lost cause? I was hoping they’d be able to connect me to one of those other roles. Assuming incentives don’t line up for the recruiter.
When is leaving too early? I’m an A2 with an offer to go work as a fund/financial reporting analyst. Is this more of a lateral career move? I’m still unsure what I want to do with my career, but I know it’s not public accounting. Are there other opportunities to pivot from there? It’s a large public financial, investment, insurance company. If the pay is there (going to request a 35% raise), should I do it? I’ve always been interested in FP&A/Financial Analyst and I know the role isn’t exact...
Anyone have insights into Director level role at Facebook? I'm currently a PPMD and have been looking at SVP and EVP roles at other companies. I'm not specifically hung up on title but more concerned about the substance of the role (scope, responsibilities, seniority, budget, team, etc.). FB has been very vague and generally focusing on "its FB so its different " as an answer. They also have not confirmed if they can match base comp, they only talk about upside from equity. Any thoughts?
Anybody working to exit to something outside of tech? Maybe to a particular industry? Something creative (art, music, etc)? Other? Just curious since we see a lot of tech exit wishes...
AWS offered me: 120k base 68k sign on 24 RSUs I countered with 80k sign on and 30 RSUs and they came back with 122k base, 69k sign on and 25 RSUs… I feel like I should be mad with what they came back with. Kinda laughable tbh. L5 role. How does the offer sound?

Anyone had experience leaving for an industry accounting role such as a senior inventor accountant or senior ppe accountant? Are you most likely stuck in that area for future promotions or new jobs?
Maybe a dumb question, but what exactly does a PMO role do for 60 hours/week? Just dashboards, reports, QA, templates, contracts, project decks. etc.? My old firm didn't have dedicated PMO roles.
I am an Account Executive and work in the programmatic team as part of a wider agency, but I’m not sure this is where I want to be. I want something more collaborative, creative, and less to do with numbers and budgets. Does anyone have any idea what I should look into and how I could transition into that role?

12 yr lawyer here, just moved to CA due to a spouse transfer and am not sure if I want to start over here. I have a good network in my home state. Any remote contract lawyers? How do you find work?
What’s the etiquette for reaching out to staff / admissions in MBA programs? Want to get my name out there.
Has anyone managed to swing remote work and traveling abroad? My project would support remote work, but not sure how traveling internationally while doing so would be received.
It feels so hard to judge if I’ll like a place from the interviews. Just want to find a place I’ll enjoy, more or less, for 2-5 years.
Currently live on the west edge of river north and looking to move north into LP/East Lakeview. Our lease is up in March, but want to take advantage of any COVID deals to get a larger place. Looking at 2br/bath if possible.
If you interview on a Friday, would you send thank you notes on Monday or is that too late?
Buying puts on GME? Am I too stupid to join the hedge fund losers that are potentially looking for idiots like me to take over their positions? But logically all short squeeze ends at some point. On Thursday when price dropped to $100 then rose back to $300, that’s the shorts covering their position so guessing squeeze is already coming to an end?
I think I’m burnt out from my job, and I desperately need some me time to recover. My heart races constantly and I’m always trying to stay afloat every M-F... but the work never ends and I feel abused here verbally and mentally. How do I go about in getting qualified for mental health leave? Will it be even more difficult while I’m staffed to a project? Will it affect my career reputation going forward?
I heard back about my promotion and it will go in effect January. I’m applying to jobs now though, do I write my promotion on my resume? If so, how exactly do I word it?
What’s the point of an MBA, honestly?
What should a couple talk about / what do you wish you and your s/o talked about before having a baby?
What are the role titles I should be searching for in industry that have equivalent or greater pay than consulting roles? I need something low key or slower paced than the Big 4 that focuses on strategic communications or learning development.
Besides i banking and typical strategy consulting ops, what else can a top 5-7 MBA provide someone? Currently in cyber risk but if I go for a top MBA id want to switch paths to more $$$
How high of a salary bump would you need for you to seriously consider switching to industry?
