I’ve been looking for a full time job in Birmingham, England for just under a month now, in total I’ve roughly applied for 150-180 jobs online. I’ve only gotten 2 interview so far. One of them wasn’t even full time but I went to it anyway and the other I’m still waiting for an answer on. I’m 19 years old and I have just under a year of experience working at kfc as a FOH team member. I am now trying to find a role as a barista, waiter or bartender but I’m getting no luck, is this normal?

You did an interview and your interviewer apologized that the travel time 180minutes was much higher than 30minutes scheduled time for the interview and that It could have been done remotely, but she has to follow the process. I am still waiting for feedback though.

Senior attorneys at v100, how common is it for attorneys who start at small firms to lateral to biglaw? Have you worked with any? Conventional wisdom is always that if you don’t start there it’s hard to “trade up”. My coworker and I just did it to two different great v30 firms, and I’m wondering if it’s really that uncommon?
