Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

For the other BUs to consider you for IJP, you should not be on PIP during or before the time of interview.
Bridges once burned never gets fixed. Please look outside. Also try to extend your pip and stay there as long as you can so you can buy time in whuch you can keep applying externally. Trust me bad days would pass. But it is you who have to accept that you dont have any future here and you already know pleasing someone who has decided to get you away would not help you.
If they want to put you in PIP, they won't give you default rating, you will get a sum 7 in which case you just get 25% of the variable.
Also, try to look for opportunities outside. PIP will be for 3 months, perceptions don't change here in Amex.
I was put through the corporate Quiet Cracking phase. I realised this before these PIP discussions were officially made and started looking out aggressively. Was lucky enough to get out of this vicious loop. Amex is a good company but there are other good companies outside Amex. If it's not working for you here just start looking out

Here it's extreme level of politics. CEG which is HR here does nothing, the leadership has complete autonomy.
At least in common thinking HR plays a role. Here it does nothing. I had to leave the organization in probabition only they played strategically.
