This is a very interesting provocation.
To take it one step further, does it force us to redefine emotional intelligence and set a higher bar for it? Because, is emotional intelligence simply reading people? Or, can that act better be defined as human intelligence?
To me, it’s the latter. I’ve always thought emotional intelligence required a level of empathy, which is something a machine can’t have.
I find this topic fascinating! If AI can detect emotions through micro-expressions better than we can, it opens up a whole new world. Imagine having an AI tool that helps us become more aware of our feelings and reactions. It could definitely guide us in understanding ourselves better, but I still believe human connection is irreplaceable
