Have you ever taken a career slow down? I am feeling burnt out from COVID and the incremental responsibilities thrown my way over the last 5+ years. I feel like my health has deteriorated. I like my company, but I want to do less. I don’t need to be a HR Director, CHRO, etc. With a career slowdown, I am prepared for a lower compensation and would want decent benefits. Any lessons learned or success stories about career slowdowns?

Bad decision to wear a $7000 Cartier gold bangle in the subways!?! If someone wants to rob me, they’d have to chop my hand off to get the bangle given it can only be unlocked with a screwdriver. 😫

Just received 2 offers that I’m weighing, both in Advertising tech:
1. Smaller firm about to be acquired by a larger one, Product Marketing role (title would be Sr. PMM)
2. FAANG, Sales Account Manager role (similar to my current role)
I have 5-6 YOE and have been in an Account Management role for most of my career - is it worth making the switch to PMM at a smaller firm or sticking with what I know at a FAANG? Both would have relatively similar comp. Thanks in advance for your input!

In the process of interviewing for a strategy/Corp dev position at an activewear/athleisure company and they want me to think of a couple tangential industries that may have companies for acquisition and do a write up. I’m stumped on what else an activewear company would buy besides other activewear companies. I can only think of home fitness (Lulu’s Mirror) or vitamins/supplements. Any thoughts?

Looking for advice…I currently make $85k + 35% bonus. I’m interviewing for a job that I now know pays $70k + 15% bonus. Obviously that’s a steep cut. The only reasons I’m still interested are that it’s in crypto operations which I’d like to transition to, and it’s back on the east coast closer to family. We want our daughter growing up with them around. Any thoughts on negotiating a higher salary? Or, any experiences on taking a pay cut and what went into your decision to do so? Thanks!

I currently have 5.5 Ipa package in LTI working hear from starting of my career having Total 3 years of experience in Data Analytics field. Skills Tableau, SQL, Python. I also have done post graduate deploma in ML and Al from IIIT BANGLORE while working. I have notice period of 3 months. IBM has offered me X amount ctc and i accepted it on portal....now got to know that market valuation for 10.3 yoe is greater than offered ctc....can i ask HR to increase the ctc and change the band...will they consider it?...not holding any counter offer as of now
