Recently received offer from Oracle Solution Services India Private Limited and base location mentioned is Bangalore. Just was curious to know whether we have to go to office physically for the joining or we can join virtually as I am not in Bangalore. I’ve worked at places that all have different holiday policies. EA has at minimum a nice 10 day shutdown from Christmas Eve through New Years. It’s great to know that there will be no slack messages or an exploded inbox to come back to while away. I’ve been at other studios that only give you Christmas Eve & Day and New Years Eve & Day and then the rest is up to you to request for PTO and this is obviously the suck.

(NDA mentioned no defamation) leaning on the side of letting it go, but this employer sucked BAD and i want others to know. ik its hard to give a straight answer bc it depends on the agreement, but wheres the line between bad mouthing vs your honest experience?

I recently joined Capgemini at 13.5 LPA along with 1 lakh as joining bonus. It was a jump from 6.5 and I have 4 YOE with 2 yrs in React JS
Two questions that's been bothering me -

Did I settle for less as I can see people taking even bigger jumps with less experience?

My joining date was 15 September, so am I eligible for upcoming appraisal as the annual review is due by October 14 and I have just joined a project?

Please share your insights as I have looked for advice everywhere else.
