Any suggestion on relatively cheap neighbourhood for a mid 20s couple in london? - - Preferably less than 30 mins commute to Green Park/ bloomsbury/ holborn area.
- Would prefer not to have to worry about being stabbed on the street.
- balcony or a garden would be nice
- dont care about schools etc, wont have kids for a while

Would 15k per month be a bit too low to live somewhere that ticks the above conditions?

I have an offer from a start-up which I will be joining next week. Even though I got a hike more than 100% ( current tc: 6lpa, new tc:14lpa) and changed to sde role I am still not satisfied. Seeing all those comp posts on leetcode I felt I can be one of them. But now I am feeling left behind and not able to move on. I know I have no dev experience. Got an offer from Kantar Consulting to work on their retail/cpg product.
Currently working with IBM with 10+ yoe having joined IBM 10 months back. Currently at 25 lpa and getting an offer of 32 fixed+15% variable.

Now my question is - Is it worth the gamble to leave IBM and join Kantar consulting which btw is known for market research and not consulting.
Also would leaving IBM after 1 year look bad on CV?
