Let’s talk work clothes — how formal do y’all dress for school? Are you more jeans and a cute top, or slacks and blazers? I always wonder if I’m too casual or too dressed up. What’s your normal outfit for a regular workday?

I am a special education preschool teacher. Stretchy comfortable pants that look a little dressy and a cute but cheap and comfortable top and comfortable shoes are my go-to’s. I only dress up if I have an in-person IEP meeting, and those are rare these days. Most parents opt for virtual. I need to be able to move, sit on the floor and in tiny chairs, and not be afraid to get dirty! Sometimes I wear cute teacher T-shirts and jeans with sneakers. Our admin does not care about what we wear.

Since i am the business teacher, I always try to dress professionally. Sometimes, on our School Spirit Weeks, I will dress according to what is on the schedule.

Would be very happy to connect with someone who would have roles in energy consulting and willing to sponsor visas for the position, if selected on merit.

Our employee satisfaction survey is tied to our performance goals. Meaning, if we rate management badly, we cannot meet 10% of our goals which in turn affects our bonuses and raises. We asked HR but they didn’t do anything about it. Is this normal? Is this legal? If not, what else can we do about it?
