In this market, employers can pretty much do whatever they want. If we don't go back to the office, plenty of people will. It really is an employer market right now, and they know it. I'm noticing the same thing: all the jobs I'm seeing are completely in-office with no flexibility.
This is one of the million reasons I'm so happy my agency has been fully remote from the jump. There's no office for us to return back to. And that's very lucky for me, because from what I can tell, just about every other one is returning to office like yours. Wishing you guys luck, but I'm not overly optimistic for you all.
Feels like a lot of companies are tightening RTO, yeah. I’m seeing anything from 2–3 mandatory days in the office to full‑time, with some pushback; whether it sticks may depend on how competitive the talent market is in each niche.
Yeah I'm seeing the same thing on my end, luckily for me still able to work remotely. However looks like most options that I see when gauging opportunities are hybrid models. Plus I feel like salaries are on the lower slide, at least on the PMM side
I’m very fortunate that we’re remote first. But everyone I know is back in office at least 2-3 days a week, with many 4-5. It’s also making it so hard to job hop because I know I’ll have to be back in an office if I leave.
It sucks even more because salaries are down, but cost of living and commuting costs are up.
