Is it okay to do the background check process if I don't plan to join EY GDS? I have received better offer from another organization and I'm planning to join them. I still have 2 months left in my notice period. I'm holding EY's offer just to be on the safe side and planning to inform them towards the end of my notice period. If I complete the background check process and not join EY, will they blacklist me from exploring opportunities in future? EY

Have you heard of Earthing. Get grounded with Mother Earth. Watch the documentary called Down To Earth. Get reconnected with what will calm your nervous system.

I get the idea, but I think this is more about mindset than grounding. For me, it is the pressure and overthinking, not my nervous system being disconnected.
That can happen, a lot of people get what amounts to stage fright in circumstances that seem to have to pressure around them. It's good to just try to slow down your breathing and calm yourself a bit. What I find is that if I'm nervous, once I get a few sentences out I somehow find my footing and I'm okay from that point onward.

I relate to this. I think once I get past the first few sentences, I settle. The hardest part is starting. Slowing down helps, but I still feel that initial pressure every time.
This is the same thing that is happening to me! I don't know what it is but I keep freezing up during interviews. I think it is because I am so out of practice honestly.

I do not think it is just practice. I think it is the pressure of being evaluated. I can speak all day normally, but interviews make everything feel high stakes.
