When doing background checks before you get an offer do they look at employment history or just criminal background?
My friend has been unemployed for over a year but just received a job offer. He was fired from his last job and has been stating he still works there. How likely are employers to find out that he was lying?
How much is severance usually?
What are the weirdest reasons you have heard for people being laid-off? Heard someone getting laid off because of submitting wack expenses.
Anyone here a long term IQVIA employee? How have we dealt with economic downturn? Do we have yearly layoffs like Big4?
How TF do I deal with reporting to 2 clients that are trying to get each other fired??! 🤯

Did you create this new Indeed campaign?
Just so you know: in the history of the world nobody has ever arrived at their first day of work carrying a random box that looks like they've been fired.
Accenture CEO said on earnings call that accelerated performance cycle will help manage low performers at greater pace if need to pull levers.
More layoffs are incoming soon.
About last layoffs, we didn't do any layoffs it's cost adjustments mostly in operation centers and restructure due new growth model. 🤷♂️
Tough time..my better-half in consulting got laid off. What are some key things to keep in mind? (Eg., should we negotiate severance etc). Background: she wasn’t given any warning / reason why they are laying her off other than ‘your services are not required’

I get the feeling some companies are using the wave of tech layoffs as cover to get rid of low performers and cut costs. I have no doubt that many companies need to make these cuts. But some companies, Microsoft for example, are hiring tech folks like crazy and heavily recruiting while doing these layoffs. I don’t blame them, low performers are costly and kill teams. I just think it’s something to keep in mind, there’s a bandwagon effect here. Not every tech company is in dire straits.
I know that a lot of layoffs are happening to smart people, so if anyone is looking for a job and I can help at all, please feel free to DM me
Fears of a recession are reasonably causing people to take a second look at their job security. Seeing as many lawyers are working in specialty tax within PA how many of you are worried about a potential slowdown/layoffs within specialty tax? If not why do you feel you won’t be as affected? Is it safe to continue an interview with Deloitte while everyone else is currently laid off? How is it possible that they weren't able to hire internally for an analytics role?
Will Forensics be negatively impacted (layoffs, hiring freeze) by the upcoming recession?
A Big 4 auditor asking as they looking to potentially jump ship internally after completing first senior year.
Has anyone ever successfully double dipped? About to get laid off with severance and got an offer letter elsewhere. Will the agency I’m getting severance from find out? Also - 2 different cities.
Who else is secretly terrified that COVID will crush us through the holidays, there will be even more layoffs, and many of us won’t ever get a great job ever again? Or is it just me?
I love working remotely - don’t get me wrong. But sometimes it gets lonely and I feel like it’s impossible to actually connect with coworkers. Has anyone had any success forming genuine connections without being in the office? I have started going to therapy but I don't think it's a long term strategy...
I'm thinking about starting with a new company. I'm a commercial workers compensation underwriter with almost 3 years of experience. I currently make around 38k but I'm hearing that this is low for the market. Thinking about going to Travlers or Hartford. Anyone have experience there? What was your salary?
2019 grad. Laid off in beginning of pandemic and due to related reasons, I started at the 3rd firm (4th if you count i had two different stints at the same firm) of my career ~6 months ago. Extremely happy at my current firm, paid decent, but a contact reached out to me and offered to interview for an in house position I consider desirable. Thoughts?
I have finally started exploring switch options after spending 13 years with my first company i.e. Infosys. I realize it isn't that simple to get thru but I am pumped to try something new. Would appreciate if someone could please refer me to any suitable opportunities to get me started.

Is most agency still separate digital and print department? In your opinion, who are the top digital agencies / digital departments to work for?
Most of my nursing career has been in dialysis... And that was a bad mistake. It's hard to find a job with only dialysis experience. I was paid we'll (Golden Handcuffs). Difficult to find a job that will pay as well or any job period because of the specialized experience I have. #stuck #depressed
Warning… This is a strange question… Am I weird because I don’t want a “BIG” birthday party? Spending my time in lounge is not my idea of fun.
Invested additional 4k this morning...
Has anyone appeared for Amazon's recruitment process for Data Engineer position?
Can you help what is the process like and what all to expect???
Hey Gente, Im applying for jobs and I wanted to get others opinion on the race part of the application process. As an indigenous LatinX I worry that if I put indigenous it won’t tick the “diversity” box for the algorithm or recruiters. I work with (not in) the I&D dept at my company and our target recruiting groups don’t include or mention indigenous. Any recruiters here that have insight?
I resigned from infosys and my LWD is Dec27th. And My manager said they will provide me onsite opportunity for Canada or Mexico. Can you please suggest me how to make sure that they will send me for onsite. Please suggest 🙏🙏🙏🙏 i have to decide and tell them back.

Hey, another question for y’all. How should I reach out to a recruiter who offered me a full time position but I rejected for a better offer? At the time I was offered the position my main concern was lack of guidance/support from leadership. Now, a year later I have experience being in a role with limited over site (not as scary as I initially thought it would be) and feel confident I would excel in the role I rejected. How would you approach this situation? Thanks in advance!!
