It's interesting to read about the newspaper business in the mid-1800s, when you had people like Horace Greeley and James Gordon Bennett essentially inventing the media world we know today. For them, the pace was relentless. And if you actually read their publications, it's fascinating to see how much material they contained. I think the industry has just always run at high speed and always will. Each individual can take time to relax when not working, but the industry will always be in, as you say, constant motion.
This is so interesting, I have to admit I used to be jealous of people who had more downtime but actually I like the fast pace of my job
I think that's one of my favorite parts of the industry, to be honest. I came from another industry that has a lot of downtime and I didn't like it at all. I always felt like my job wasn't safe because there wasn't enough work to do. I don't feel that way right now.
I get this, previously we had a period of time where there wasn’t much going on and I felt like the days definitely went a lot slower
