Agency has seen a lot of turnover due to layoffs and departures. How much notice would you expect a group creative director to give with that context?
If anyone deserves to have layoffs, it’s those folks in TSA - Bunch of lazy people standing around and whiling their time chatting.
Is it wrong that I like when people leave or get fired? Not like I get joy from misfortune but I love the drama and scoop
PPD on my project acknowledging the PDM people on this TSA project are staff augmentation ppl who will be laid off when project is over. Said having them allows us to (contd)
I think im probably going to get fired in the next 6 months. Should I just start searching now.
If you were to be laid off or fired today. How long do you think it take the average person to find a née job?
Has anyone come back from being put on a PiP? My colleague just got one and is freaking out - her manager is overallocated like crazy, the other two media planners were laid off, and she’s the only one left standing. Her boss says she’s making too many mistakes - but they’re so short staffed. Any hope, or should she start looking now?
For all fellow fishbowlers that were laid off, should we create some group to help each other out and use our networks to help out?
Anyone remember the 2009 advertising documentary Lemonade, about all the agency ppl who were laid off - and how it freed them to find their real passion?
I’m 29, at my first serious job, and am getting fired (not laid off). Feel like an idiot, and don’t know anyone else my age who has been fired. If you’ve been fired, can you tell me about it? I’m LA based in PR & Comms.
If you are not married or without your own family, would you move back with your parents if you have been laid off? Or would you dip into savings / unemployment to keep the lights on?
Anyone else have a lingering fear that they could be fired at any moment? I’ve received great performance reviews and my partner says I’m doing very well, but I don’t vibe with my colleagues as well as it seems others do.
Laid off bc of lack of work, told I have a few weeks to find a new job BUT have been getting assigned new projects since then. Wtf do I do?
Got laid off - need legal advice on release agreement / severance document. Do y’all have any free legal resources or an org / law firm that I can contact to seek advice? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
What are partners hearing about the need to do furlough/layoffs? Heard of Deloitte and Accenture laid off/furloughs already within certain practice areas
After getting laid off 2 weeks ago, I fired off about 20 resumes to different places. I have not received any feedback at all. Any ideas how to get past the computer and in front of someone?

If company offers unlimited PTO, what else beside salary can you negotiate on an offer? Benefit package is standard (health insurance) and they do not offer 401k matching yet.
Got an interview with Lattice but they don’t allow remote work and I’m not trying to move to NY/SF 😤
For those who have had their counselor connect meetings with counselees in the consultant position: is the top 10% of performance (significantly outperforming peers) solely reserved for 2nd year consultants? Did any first year consultants get into that top bucket?
Hi everyone, I got an offer from PwC India. I’m thinking to join. But I see many are not recommending it. Please give the pros and cons from your experience in PwC. Thanks. Ctc 18, Yoe 6.5, role - Senior associate 2
Experience managing a team-member for 8 months now, but only have 1.6 yrs exp at Booz out of UG. Should I mention the managing role (1 bullet) in resume if applying to Level 2 at other firms? Or is...
Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Is there a wrong time to quit? Started in audit at Big 4 less than a year ago and I already feel burned out. I was planning on staying for a few years and then moving to private accounting and getting a job with better pay, better hours, etc. But at this point, I don’t think I want to work in accounting long term. Is it bad to quit a job I’ve been at for less than a year? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If i want to do marketing, should I commit (a kind of early decision program BCG has with Kellogg) to the Kellogg 1Y MBA or take a chance at Wharton or Harvard? I would be sponsored in either case.
I’m currently looking for a fully remote role. Any leads? I have a lot of movement happening in my life right now and this would be ideal.
Going up for promotion next year. Will it impact me to be on maternity leave for the last 2 months of the performance period or will the rest of the year speak for itself? To wait, or not to wait?!?
Anyone recently submitted form to extend their parent's stay on B2 visa beyond approved 6 month. Is it mandatory to submit updated return ticket I that application
Do big 4s in the UK generally pay higher to Managers with an MBA Vs without (homegrown)?
Any recommendations for books or materials to prepare for Amazon or FAANG product (technical) manager roles? I’m assuming this was asked many times, I haven’t had luck locating ideal threads but will keep looking as well! Any advice would be appreciated 🙂
Has anyone gone so far as to splurge on a tier 1 office chair like the Steelcase Gesture? If so, your honest feedback/review would be appreciated. My logic is if I spend so much of my typical work week sitting on a chair, why not go the extra mile and make it something comfortable and good for posture. Also, the cheaper chairs seem always to wear down faster than anticipated.
How is technology at Huge? Had a recruiter reach out and interested about WLB, what platforms they’re using, work they’re doing, general culture, etc. Tech culture in agencies can be weird so would love any info people have!
