Mostly venting. Took most of the week off due to stress-induced hives. 10 years into lawyering- Never had this, before. Doctor did not confirm stress-induced until Thursday. They are now finally subsiding along with my right hand sweling finally going down. On Tuesday a boss asked “are you sure they’re not bug bites?” as if the cause of itching and swelling all over my body matters. (He’d feel less guilty if he could assign me work without causing me stress?)

- how many support staff you have on those accounts

A company has 2 candidates, aged 25-30, equal in every respect save one’s a man the other’s a woman. Maybe the woman is a slightly better candidate overall. They’d have equal comp.

Company considers the woman a riskier bet due to possibility she’ll take maternity leave — and considers the man less risky for his ineligibility to take as much leave. 🤷
