Best to rent a car and drive around. Most things you can get out and wall to. If your kid is OK with car rides they'll do fine as long as you keep an eye on them and don't let them run around near waterfalls

Strongly recommend Golden circle, Reynisfjara(black sand beach) + Diamond Beach on the south coast. Don't sleep on the Snaefellsnes peninsula on the west coast either! Wish we had more time there.

Downtown, Church, Blue Lagoon .. Food, do try various restaurants.. not sure about Marriott. Try one day or two day tours so that you are not doing individual stuff.

I’ve been a paralegal for about 30 years in private law firmS. As I get older, I feel like it’s time for a semi-career change. Either an office manager position or perhaps a corporate position where I can travel a little since my kids are grown and I’m an empty-nester. Has anyone made this type of transition? Advise welcome. I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

What a trooper. I'd nope the F out of traveling if in 2 walking casts.

Has anyone moved away from NY and successfully resigned from the NY bar? What are the consequences if you just don’t pay? The requirements are insane to officially “resign” - draft a motion, pay a fee, send proof of service - I honestly do not know what this nonsense means, I’m not a litigator for a reason. Is there someone I can pay to do it? Should I just pay the $375 to stay active to avoid this nightmare?

Seriously considering a move to NYC. Any counselors in the area? Wanting a bit of insight into the hiring process! I hear it’s very competitive, but I wanna get a feel for if that means “basically impossible” or “it might take a bit longer than you think.”

Background: It’s my 3rd year as an elementary school counselor and I’d like to stick with elementary or middle. I have friends and family in NYC and Long Island and I’m looking for a change of scenery (and a pay increase, tbh).

I have a few questions for people in consulting roles (both external/internal).

My partner is in corporate banking, but he wants to switch to a consulting/strategy-based role. I noticed people with those jobs typically have an MBA, and also majority of the job ads in similar roles has MBA as either a requirement or preferred qualification. So:

1) does MBA actually improve someone's chance in getting those roles?
2) are there any good Canadian MBA programs you'd recommend?

Thank you all!

I am visiting Moab and Arches National Park this year, and would love to learn more about biking in/around the park!

Are you able to ride the bikes on the roads throughout the park?
If so, are there places to lock up the bike at trailheads and/or parking lots to take in?
I haven't been to this national park yet, so I was curious how it compares to Zion for example, where it is easy to bike from "stop to stop" to view the scenery or do a hike!

Thank you!
