That depends entirely on where your office will be.
Yeah another vote for Westwood.
Culver city is in the center of everything and I see plenty of parents with young kids!
Cant advice much on schools tho.
You could try the South Bay for good schools, but if you commute to West LA, your commute will be shit. West side has decent options for living (without knowing if you’re looking to buy or rent, which is a whole other can of worms), but then you’re likely sending kid to private school for what - 15k or 25k a year? I might be off. Tough call. Guess that’s why folks with kids live in the valley.
Manhattan beach
I live in Westwood near a charter elementary school (Westwood Charter) and that means free public school if you live in the area. My neighborhood is safe, family friendly (bc of the school) and 10-15 minute commute to Beverly Hills. Even possible to ride a bike to BH if you’re into that sort of thing. Check it out. Zip code 90025 in the area next to Westwood Charter. Not cheap rent tho.
Thank you for all of the recos!
Giving Culver City a try. 🤞
Pasadena
Would love to live in South Pasadena, but sadly the commute would be awful :(
