Hi, can someone tell me if I need to manually claim higher rate tax relief on Accenture UK workplace pension e.g. via self assessment? I had assumed it was all taken care of out of the pay packet as it’s a net pay scheme but I have a financial advisor telling me otherwise. It’ll be the first I ever heard about it if so…guess I’ve lost a load of money…???

Me and My so presently live in Arkansas, living in our first home with a child 4 year, both of us recently changed our jobs and have HHI ~ 420K, current mortgage 1600/month. 1. Should we go for house of that budget? We can afford, but asking based on market.

I am trying to justify house buying in HCOL city. The house cost is minimum 1.4m .monthly mortgage would be at least 7k(with just around 2k principal) rest goes to either int,tax. Not to mention regular house maintenance. How is it better than 3.5k rental. I understand appreciation and own house independence. But I am just trying to make numbers work.

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account.
