I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

I've had more luck with online communities. It's so much easier to network at scale virtually than it is in person. Networking events can still be helpful, they just don't happen all that frequently so there's less opportunity to meet people.
Being in a new city, it is crucial to get out in it. Any local events or groups should be a priority. Even fun or hobby ones can be a great way to start networking.
Both can be useful, but for marketing roles, start with online groups: LinkedIn, Slack communities, and local Facebook groups often have active job-sharers and informal networking. In-person events are great for deeper connections and local referrals, but online makes it easier to build confidence and visibility before you walk in the room.

It only works when you become an active member of these groups. When I work on committees, they get to know me. Some have come to me about a position or asked me for recommendations.
