My husband is a civil engineer. He started a new job in January. He just had a 90-day check-in meeting and was let go bc because he "wasn't productive enough". My husband responded that he wasn't given projects to be productive. His mgr said "the door is always open" and that my husband should have asked for projects. While there, they never had regular project meetings to discuss project progress. Shouldn't the mgr be the one to initiate the meetings, especially since they know the pipeline?

I think most people come on here because they’re lonely. Thoughts?
