My recruiter let me know that I’m in the final running for a role I really want. If I don’t get the offer next week, I’m tempted to send a follow-up to the hiring manager to ask them to reconsider. My plan is to double down on why I’m the best fit. Is this a legit move or a bad idea? I don’t want to look desperate (I have a job now), but I really want this specific job.

Im a third year and my current firm isn't bad and I'm pretty comfortable here. Im satisfied most of the time. There is one firm I've been keeping my eyes on because of its similarities to where I currently am (nice people, similar hours, culture).
