Well Briggs has a lifetime warranty. But I have the Costco $100 one and it's great.
I’ve been happy with my Away. A little minimalist in design (obviously) but also features. It’s proven very durable - probably have 100+ flights on it and it still looks/feels new. Warranty is good too. At least last year, ACN had a discount.
Thoughts? Don't drop $500-$600, instead get a sub $100 Samsonite instead.
We get 40% off at Tumi but still can't justify it
Rimowa Master Race.
Travel pro pilots bag
I’ve had my travelpro for 5 years. Almost zero wear
I'm flummoxed. I've had an AT softside 4 wheel carry on that's been going strong for better part of 3 years.
Has anyone ever used the Briggs lifetime warranty? Experience?
@M1 I’ve had the top handle snap on two of them unfortunately. Went through the warranty process on the first and it took forever to get it replaced. Just wondering if anyone had a better alternative at that price point
I just got the Away and I really like it. For the last five years I have used the Tumi international four wheel and it was my favorite bag. It held up well but $700 I expected it to. I visited the Away store in NYC and really liked the minimalist design. The biggest plus is that the bag weighs 4lbs less and has a lifetime warranty. Who knows how long away will be around for but from what I heard, they are selling like hot cakes. Their branding as a lifestyle company is genius. Here’s my referral link for a $20 dollar discount. I get $20 too if you use it. No worries if not. It’s also a much better deal if you buy a set. http://fbuy.me/hYvEK
Briggs fan checking in. Have used lifetime warranty 3 times now over the past 9 years
If you get a Tumi, you won’t need to use the warranty. ^
Been down that route, held up for 4 months. Not doing it again
Awesome, I’ll check it out. Thanks
@BCG1 yeah ACN gets 30% and i still struggle lol. @A1 didn’t know we had anything with Away. I’ll check discount directory
I have been getting three years put of my AT softshells, but it's always carry-on. Are you checking them or something? A name brand won't remedy baggage handlers.
OP, definitely agree that their new two piece handle is less sturdy! Don't know what to tell you there, I figure I'll just epoxy mine together.
Agree with travel pro. Has held up extremely well
Travelpro Magna Platinum all the way. The magnetic wheels are self aligning and worth their weight in gold on account of the significantly reduced stress on your wrists!
