Under contract for nearly 1.1M. Wife and I are at HHI $315k. Will go up in the future, $400k in 3 years and $500k possible in 5-7 years. so every single major dip the last 4 months have been magnified by the use of leverage. If btc drops “naturally” by 5%, but liquidations are in the billions (which they have been), then that 5% drop turns into 15%. Over leveraged apes are literally screwing it up for all of us more than just themselves. I generally do good work, but I’m happy being a B associate, I don’t dwell on small mistakes or what partners think of me, I take my vacations and never overwork myself to “look good”. All this to say, you don’t need to be an A+ associate to stay employed. Try being a B associate, it’s a lot more fun.

I’m a first-time prospective lateral likely to get an offer shortly. I just received a lateral questionnaire that requests billable hours, rates, fees collected, etc. for the last three years. Forgive my ignorance but is this normal/standard? Do people actually answer these honestly? One of the reasons I’m leaving my firm is there isn’t enough work in my group so of course my hours are low.
