On a scale of 1 - get shafted. How disappointing will this Dan meeting be for us?

Who here has pitched an idea only to be told that it's a dumb one but then you see a commercial and it's your idea?

Does anyone have strong rationale for why it seem like big brands hardly ever include trademark or register symbols on their logo anymore? When I was coming up as a designer trademarking the logo was a very important step in branding.

I find myself struggling the explain things with the same eloquence as my colleagues. How can I improve my consulting speak? Any recommended books?
