I tend to overwork myself and it’s really taking a toll on my mental well-being. I want to learn a lot and prove myself to my superiors so that they recognize me/see value. Now my work has a sense of dread to it. I watched my parents be workaholics growing up, so it’s all I know. I’m also goal-oriented and driven, so achieving a lot scratches that itch for me. But, it’s making me want to quit cause I’m burned out and depressed….im not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.
How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?
I'm asking from getting my resume selected to getting an offer.
I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.

1000000% no!! Not worth the money or time. It’s of no benefit to your paralegal career. If you want to add something to your resume and already have a paralegal certificate, become certified. This is different than having a paralegal certificate contrary to the name. It’s different in every state. In texas we can become board certified by the state in a certain area of law.

Absolutely not. I am a 17 year managing litigation paralegal and didn’t even complete my associates or certificate. I was already working as a paralegal at the state Capitol. So, I’m my case, experience has always spoken louder than any educational background. Without the experience though, certification or an associates, etc. may be required.
Also, I think taking the exam and becoming certified, although may not be required for being a paralegal, could be beneficial if you wanted to ever promote into like a management type position such as a law firm administrator, office manager, or legal operations or something like that. I simply believe in continuing education that’s just kind of who I am, it doesn’t mean it’s required.
No.

Absolutely not. If you want to get an MBA, use it to leverage into a different position, not to get a better paralegal role.

Completely agree. I would have just went to law school instead. Definitely not for a paralegal position though.
If you already have one and are trying to become a paralegal, it could be an asset during hiring. But I don’t see how it would actually help with doing the job. And I certainly wouldn’t go into debt for an advanced degree and then become a paralegal.
Probably not unless it is a Masters of legal studies
I agree, become certified! That’s my plan. I already have my paralegal certificate, but as the previous poster stated becoming certified is different than earning a certificate. I’ve heard from several others that being certified is definitely an advantage. I’ve heard the exam is pretty rigorous, but that may depend on who you talk to you! However, I still plan to do it!
Absolutely not.
Nope. I would look into becoming a Certified Paralegal instead.

It may be helpful if you want to become a paralegal professor and don't want to be a paralegal anymore (a masters geared towards the legal field) and an MBA might be helpful if you eventually want to use your paralegal experience to transfer to a different career like legal operations.
Masters degree haver here, and nope.
Get a Masters of Studies in Law. Grads from an MSL in Organizational Ethics & Compliance start at 80k/yr
Most paralegals make more than that so not sure that’s worth it.
