Anyone know when the Marriott cards post elite night credits? I’m 14 short of next status tier and wondering if the 15 from the Bold or Boundless would post before year end if I sign up for one of them now.

Best points hotels in Paris and French Riviera? Have a combination of Marriott and Hyatt points - looking to stop in both places. Probably have enough of each to do one chain in each location - will probably be 5 nights in Paris and 2-3 staying in Cannes.

Does anyone here work as software enginner in travel industry (I.e. Expedia, airlines, Marriott)? How’s it like to work with them? Is it safe to work there during this economic uncertainty?

Currently work with finance industry. Looking for SE role in Travel/hospitality industry (I.e. EXPE, Marriott, Southwest, AA, Delta, airlines).
Some questions:

1. Which one offers job security?
2. How is it like working with them?(WLB/teammate/culture/support for career growth)
3. Which Business Unit I should avoid?(known for its horrible wlb)

4. Other advice/insight?

What should I do with all my useless Marriott points (~350K) I feel like redemptions are terrible now - is it best to still use? Should I aim to transfer?

Any tips to fast track Hyatt status? Thinking of switching from Marriott cause their point redemption is so much better but my company doesn’t have a fast track promotion going on.

Staying in a major city at a Hyatt. Since Sunday check in to now, they’ve had issues with their hot water and the shower just barely gets warm enough to shower. Does not get hot and steam. Have to get in and out quick since it’s not comfortable. Switching rooms doesn’t help. It’s a whole building issue. I’m Titanium Marriott but nothing with hyatt. How many points can I request as compensation? Stay is about $200/night total Sunday- Thursday so I think $800-900 total

Traveling for work after a really long time. Is it not expected that the hotel will clean the room each day as normal expectations? I come back to an uncleaned room and front desk indicates I did not explicitly ask for it at check in. Have I just forgotten how to travel? For what it’s worth, this is a Marriott property

If you’re just short of leveling up with Bonvoy, you can get 15 nights credit with the Marriott Bonvoy Bold Visa credit card. I just got mine, and right when I activated it my 15 nights posted to my account. Just in time for me to level up before the end of the year. Each year will post another 15 nights, and there is no annual fee.

Just got back from a work trip and left my adderall in a Marriott on the other side of the country. My refill is on Friday (end of day) anyway so I’m just gonna ride it out. Any tips for the next three days? I’m on 30mg/day.

Going on a trip with friends. I am covering 2 of 3 hotel nights with points. One of my friends (who is obsessed with points) immediately booked the 3rd night (knowing I have a Bonvoy cc) acting like they were doing me a favor bc I’d ‘planned so much already’. Am I being unreasonable to be f-ing pissed?

Edit: we had agreed to split the paid night between the 4 of us on the trip. No one offered to cover my share for that 3rd night. It’s less about the points than the selfishness
