SUGGESTION NEEDED URGENTLY
Hi Fishes, I had an offer from TCS 10 lpa for the role of Test Automation Engineer and I have asked for 15 lpa fixed from amdocs . However they have a proposed fixed CTC of 12.5 lpa .How do i negotiate it.Can I ask for 13.5 lpa?Amdocs Ps-I have an experience of 3.8 years

I usually try to organize my day to where I can get my usual tasks done. It's not always easy, but through better planning I was able to make sure I had time to get my usual stuff done. I had to change my schedule around to where I came in earlier on certain days, and stayed later on others.

I have to block out time on my schedule for personal work or there’s just no time it feels like. At some point a meeting will overlap, but that gets to be the exception rather than the rule. How many meetings do others typically attend in a week?

In prior roles, I’ve worked on my personal tasks during meetings.
I multitasked, too, was in meetings at least 20 hours a week. But my director said multitasking was unprofessional, so 🤷🏻♀️ Ended up working after hours sometimes, but usually pushed back on meetings I didn’t need to attend to create margin for focus time.
You usually aren’t really necessary at every meeting. Prioritize your time.
Why not? You control your time. If all you need is the meeting summary email, don’t attend. Or if it’s some meeting where only 5 mins pertains to you ( large distro, broad agenda), just ask the host to send you any action items for you.
Schedule out time blocks for work so your calendar doesn’t get overly full

Putting in more time after hours. Feels like that is the only time I can catch up on things that require action.

I schedule all of my meetings either in the first half or second half of the day instead of being scattered throughout the day. It's so hard to get back in work mode when getting off of a meeting and preparing to go into another one so I prefer to block off half the day.
That's a great idea. How do you handle meeting requests set by other people, if it is scheduled in the other half of the day. Especially if it is a meeting with more members.
