I will say this I love working with the students . I love getting to know them . I smile to myself when I go to work . I still feel this way after last week being asked my three different people about doing something where I told them that I was not going to do. following day I was then ambushed by admin (where I have never felt more like nothing. Following this encounter with people in charge I had an anxiety attack. This was terrible and I have no trust . TAs are mistreated. Similar story?

Help- my SIL showed me two dresses she rented for my shower, and I think they are super bridal/not very appropriate to wear as a guest or bridesmaid. I have asked others and they agree. I feel like my own outfit, a simple jumpsuit, pales in comparison to how over the top these dresses are. What can I say or do? Is it normal for people to ask for a raise when more responsibility/task fall under them? My company is going through separation and unfortunately my team is the one getting separated, I have to take on responsibility of another 3 people and continue to deliver the same after separation… how will you start this conversation with your manager ? People in my team they don't come with me for breaks. (They blame the timings are different since they sit in crits but i don't think so because they have their own group of friends to go with)

Secondly, when my team members see me in cafeteria we expect they'll sit with us but people here are being rude they directly go and sit with their friends they don't call you to join. ( atleast they could have said they are accompanied)

My manager micro manages everything I do, and I’m losing my mind. Wanted to see how any of you have handled a manager like this, and get some advice on how to tell them to literally stop.

How do you handle rude clinicians in the workplace? I always have an attending talking down to me.

I'm feeling a lot of anger towards my manager (now he's acting normal but there were moments where he was condescending/dismissive/mocked my and others work/arrogant/said stuff was "wrong" constantly/belittling the difficulty of tasks etc. in the past project).

Do you think using “him/her” for “he/she” (ex: “her is playing” “him not here yet”) is something that kids usually grow out of? Or does it need direct intervention? I have 2 students who exhibit this error, who otherwise should be dismissed. I had surgery 3 weeks ago, almost 4 and the doctor has released me to go back to work sinc either was a work injury. I definitely don't feel ready and feel my knee isn't good enough for the stairs.

I have been in my position for 27 years and have never seen such a state of affairs as I have this year (but then, with the pandemic, who has, right?) Well, long story short, we've gone hybrid (some in person, some online). The teacher has been out with surgeries and covid. I have been teaching both groups at the same time. Sometimes a sub for help, sometimes not. I love the kids, but really?

I love my job and have been doing it for years. My Principal is good to me as well! The problem is...the Paraprofessionals at my school are never recognized. You have Teachers Day, Secretaries Day, Principal's Day, etc. Paraprofessional Day comes and goes at my school every year with nothing mentioned to us. Paraprofessionals in my department (Sped) wear many hats on certain days and work extremely hard (mentally/physical)! Does anyone else get this treatment?

I want to say I love working at my school, but I'm a little frustrated. Yesterday was bus driver appreciation and the teachers went outside after school to hold signs for them, amazing right? Today is secretaries day and they posted signs all over the office for them, I find that 100% fantastic! The problem I have is that paras and janitors we're barely acknowledged. I work with a classroom of Middle School ED students. One student, who I worked with the year before, has changed alot over the year. Last year (pre COVID), she had a good head on her shoulders and I thought I had good rapor with her. But over that period of isolation, she tried to commit suicide.

All year, she was much more withdrawn and ALWAYS on her phone! At the end of the I was 'beat up by her - she really knocked my glasses off.
