Anyone have any ideas of the salary ranges in risk advisory at a director level at BDO? I saw a job post for a position in a new practice area and it looks like the position would be tasked with building out a team. Also would be grateful for insight into BDO’s work culture / work-life balance.

I typically leave some cash (from my cats) for my friend to order in dinner with. Sometimes I’ll also do a bottle of wine and snacks.

Consider sending her Uber Eats (or whatever delivery app) gift card so she can order dinner while housesitting. Also, make sure you leave her food and make it clear she should help herself. Wine bottles are a nice touch too. I dogsit/housesit for my best friend and they always leave me a few bottles of wine :)
I would feel weird if my close friend gave me cash. But that’s just me 🤷🏼♀️
If she’s staying at your place then definitely wine, snacks and Uber eats GC
Love those ideas. Or a houseplant for her apt if she likes those!
I always pay my friends a normal pet sitting rate to watch my dogs (~$30 per night). Just because they are friends doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pay them for doing work for you (personally I think the opposite - you should definitely pay them).
I’d leave them the wine and a baked good for when they’re in your apartment, but maybe a more personal way to thank them would be to treat them to a nice dinner next time you hang out.
