Pretty sure the real org chart has nothing to do with the official one. There's an admin who's been here 20 years who has more actual power than most VPs. She knows everything, can make anything happen, and is somehow connected to everyone. The people with influence are not the people with titles. Have you figured out who actually runs your company?

It's the operations guy, who does pretty much every single job. My boss, his boss, probably their boss too, everyone asks him what they're supposed to be doing. It's crazy how much he's in charge of. We're screwed if he ever leaves.

It's funny you bring this up, I was talking to someone about this kind of situation the other day. We have a top manager whose assistant seems to be running things. If you need something done, it's better to ask her than to ask her boss, who will probably forget about it. Once you know that an administrative assistant is actually running things, a lot of things become much easier.

Hi All, i am CA currently working with Deloitte USI i got an offer from Zscaler for SEC reporting team for senior analyst post for chandigarh at 17LPA fixed no bonus no stocks. My Promotion is due in deloitte in June 23 after promotion fixed plus bonus will surpass current offer of Zscaler. I doubt if i make a switch to industry it will be difficult for me to Join big 4 again

I joined 6 months ago as a L5 manager. I like my team but don't enjoy the work. I also feel I was down levelled at the time of joining. Should I wait 6 months and move internally? How easy is internal mobility especially if I were to target a L6 role? Would applying outside be wise ?
