Question about cycling etiquette: is it frowned upon by drivers to raise your hand (/even wave) to try to get them to be aware of you? Particularly in situations like when they’re trying to turn right and they’re only paying attention to oncoming traffic from the left.

My view is that it’s better to be safe than sorry, but does this come off as snobby? I’m not one of those racing cyclists going way too fast at the risk of getting hit.

I’ve practiced litigation in DC for about 5+ years at a larger plaintiffs’ firm, and am considering a switch to a defense firm. Is there any insight to how many billable hours this would require, and how much time that would actually be? For reference, the firm has a 1900 billable hour requirement and the partner said I would have “no problem” fulfilling that based on the work they have.

How do you try new bikes? A car you can jump in, move the seat and drive around. A bike needs a fit(something for another post), time and it’s impossible to ride all brands to see what “feels” best. Love my local bike shop, but they only sell Trek and are obviously biased.
