Of course you can! And I think to start, you just have to buy a bike, find an open space where you can practice, and just get comfortable

Absolutely!! You can learn.
I’ve been able to teach some of my 30+ year old friends to learn.
Also depending on how you recover from things like falls, I’d recommend buying some knee and elbow protections so that the falls aren’t painful!!
Lastly, start on a bike that you can get on an off easily from. Most people who ride regularly will share a lot about perfect ride height, position, etc.. but when you are learning, ride something that makes you feel safe. Once you build your confidence around balance, go ahead and move to something classy or the perfect position !!
Good luck and all the power to you!
Absolutely! I recently learned at 32. Bought a cheap bike from Craigslist in case it didnt stick, and practiced while I was in the suburbs during peak covid. I'm still not as confident in the city but can definitely bike leisurely in dedicated bike paths
100%!! I volunteer with Bike New York where we teach adults to ride bikes. Do some research in your area and you might be able to find some free lessons where you will learn with other adults. If you want some strategies to do it on your own, please reach out!
