After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

It’ll be hard/damn near impossible to go from client services to PE and the CFA won’t get you it’s worthless in PE). PE firms are looking for associates with deal experience. My suggestion is to go for some type of investment strategy role. You’re in Boston, look at Wellington’s investment specialists roles, they’re growing their alts platform so there’s opportunity there.
Seconded. Another vanilla route would be to get into a target MBA > IB > PE
I started my career at Vanguard and then a boutique financial services company before moving to a private fund. Managing and analyzing businesses requires a lot more accounting and financial modeling skills than what you might see in wealth management, those would be good skills to develop.
Get your CFA charter.
