One Swiss manager told me that the biggest hesitancy for him to sponsor visa is that he invests time and effort for the process/prove why they couldn't hire within π¨π, only to find that the candidate doesn't want to stay in the country (language barrier, doesn't like living there). Are there any other reasons for this hesitancy?
Aside from my leadership and managerial experience, it has been my dream to live in π¨π for years, and as for languages, I am conversational in π«π·π©πͺ and learning the other 2 national languages as well as Swiss German all for fun. I understand non-EU candidates are pretty much out of luck to get hired, but it's so discouraging that the visa issue is getting my application immediately rejected, as I am a serious candidate who is serious about moving to π¨π to live and work π«π
It depends. If youβre from US (assuming US citizenship) then Swiss company has to prove that they canβt find same talent - not only in CH but in EU. They have to go through the similar process of H1b - labor market test, visa application, scrutiny and then visa insurance. It takes like 3-5 months. Not all companies are willing to wait almost half a year.
