Definitely speak up! Especially if you were there most of the time and you feel like you deserve it. I mean, why wouldn't you advocate for yourself?
If I were in a position, yes I would speak up and ask my manager what’s going on. But keep in mind this conversation may not go the way you hope it will.
A supervisor once told a couple of employees including myself, "you know we can just work you out of a job, right" which was subtle way of saying putting each employee on "work improvement plans" and finding trivial items to "write an employee up" which comes down to an opinion vs. a quantifiable metric. This leads either the employee leaving or the pink slip. Take notes during one on one's with supervisor, afterwards email the supervisor confirming the conversation notes. Create a chain of evidence. HR isn't necessarily there for employees, it is there to help make sure the company is compliant with the state and federal laws.
So the company I work for prorates it by the days, which is fair in my eyes. If you were there 1 out of the 12 months why should you, who was off be paid just as someone who showed up each day? That makes zero once give for those who still were there, illiness or not 😩. In my eyes it's like saying that someone who work commission should still get that if they do not work for x amount of time. It's like saying you work 30 hours but still expect them to give you the full 40 hours 😩. If you knew and have been there a significant amount of time and your bonus (which should never be expected) can Garth depending on time missed you gave a duty to be aware of the potential loss. This isn't a what is fair issue, this is a you not being informed issue

Speak up if that’s what you want to do but just know retaliation is very much possible.
