Someone may have already posted about this, and I know I have posted on other Social Media and teacher pages, but I am befuddled and concerned about the following issue:

I know that using the Google Docs submission, I can scan for plagiarism, however, if something is turned in other ways, I struggle to check for plagiarism. Many of the tools I have found require premium or subscription. What resources do you use to scan for plagiarism?

Hand written essays tend to have less plagiarism, and if they write in class with paper dictionaries they have to do the work in front of you...

Have weekly mini-lessons on AP or MLA citations, paraphrasing, quotations. Some students might not realize they are plagiarizing because they were never taught how to properly cite work or paraphrase ideas.

Our district moved to TEAMS from Google Doc. TEAMS is a secure platform, that was what the IT dept told us.
