Once FI, I plan to take up a rather low profile job to cover healthcare etc, and work in my spare time on starting up/running a nonprofit- on the lines of making education more accessible for kids in impoverished environments, helping/empowering women with vocational training to self support, etc. Also plan to travel, exercise regularly and do some of the fun stuff that I currently don’t have the bandwidth for.
Yes and yes.
I plan a lot but honestly have no plan for what next. I really don’t think I will retire or even quit. The best I can think of is slowing down but not sure exactly what that would mean.
what firm are you currently connected with, M1? and what’s your location?
I enjoy my job, but I'd probably think of cutting back hour to be able to spend more time with family and traveling. I definitely can't fully retire because healthcare. :-) Unless something in this country changes in that regard in the next 10 years.
