Taking a trip up to NYC in a couple weekends and am looking into two Vacherons. This would be the first of mine from this brand. I like the Overseas chronograph with the black dial and the dual time with the back dial (as u can tell I really want a black dial). Anyone have any advice or insight into shopping with Vacheron?

I am from a tier 1 college and yet able to land only a couple of interviews and they keep me on stand by(2 companies so far). They are prefering folks with experience even for APM positions. For you experts... I’m a first-timer (pun!) buying lux watches. I’m looking at an updated model of a JSC (geographic), to be released sometime Q4 this year. MSRP is 12k few questions:
1) what is realistic price ballpark from an AD (I’m not in a hurry)
2) any advice for reaching out to ADs, especially given this isn’t yet released? I.e., any common mistakes to avoid?
3) MSRP includes leather strap, and looking at current model prices, metal strap adds ~2k to price. Sound right?
