Does anyone know the difference between audit associate and audit assistant at Deloitte? Looking to make some hiring decisions.
Question for big 4 partners/Managing directors. Is becoming partner or MD a choice or if partner role is not available an employee accepts MD role? Also, are there any post retirement benefits for MD?
My current role is a Business Analyst. I am very comfortable interacting with people and also Ambiguity. Recently, I developed quite a lot of interest in Product management and I want to make a transition into this stream. I am completely aware that Business Analysis is different from Product Management. I started taking courses on Udemy to understand more about Product Management and also started reading books. I would love to get handson with the concepts that I am learning, but not sure (TBC)
Turnaround time for Consultant position under Deloitte GPS? Had final round on Monday. Everything went well Deloitte
Recently got promoted to SM at one of the Big 3, how much raise should I expect taking a lateral position at a competitor?
I have two career paths I'm aiming for at the moment, strategy consulting or finance/strategy at a CPG. My end goal has always been to exit to CPG. If I dont land in strategy consulting should I consider tech consulting?
My dear fellow consultants! What are the exit opportunities you have considered so far?
Got a referral to MBB a few weeks ago, but still haven’t heard anything- wanted to know if this was normal?
Facebook Data Scientist- Product Analytics role Have the hiring screen coming up. The recruiter sent lots of resources and I’ve been doing some prep. Any tips on what to expect and how to wow them? Do people really spend so much time prepping for a hiring screen? I’ve seen a post referring to another bowl (that might be better for this q). Can anyone point me to it?
Final round at Apple coming up for Program Manager position. Any tips/insights would be immensely helpful. Thanks!
(I’m new here, so apologies if this sort of thing is uncouth, or if this is the wrong place to post). I’m currently working as a design lead at IBM and am looking for opportunities outside of the company. I’ve received feedback on my cover letter and resume from senior male colleagues, but I would greatly appreciate the perspective of a female in a leadership position, if anyone is willing to provide feedback. (Particularly anyone in the UX / Design Strategy field). Thank you!
Graduated college in 2017 and my major isn’t really relevant to my current role. Is that something I should take off my resume?
I am so lost. Feeling stuck in a role I don’t enjoy, yet no idea what I actually want to do. I know I don’t want to keep chasing the next “job.” Help.
Tips for being pushier in meetings? I am an admittedly meek person and my current role is a lot of influencing/persuading, but I’m always scared of pushing too much.
Hey y’all, any insight/thoughts/experience on Third and Grove (TAG) out of Boston you can share? Just got hit up for a role there.
Did you have trouble balancing between chasing better work/agencies and finding peace where you were at when you were new? I’ve been freelancing (at some great places) since ad school got out in March 2020 but am completely run ragged from the constant 24/7 job hunt and financial insecurity. Nothing really consistent. Just took an FT role at a small shop, hoping it’ll free some headspace but can’t let my mind rest. Still so obsessive about getting into a great place FT. Can’t turn it off.
So.. thinking of moving from an internally facing sales role to consulting. What are the risks and what should I ask consulting leadership?
Looking to get a program manager position within security. Anyone at Microsoft successfully left big4 and done this? I’ve work on security assessments for about a year
What's your advertising industry exit strategy?
Adios consulting! My dear FB family, it's my last week of consulting life. Taking an industry role in a week, please wish me luck that I can survive there.
14 people on EY USA had been barred from coming to usa. Who knows, thet were out of country for vacation, maybe meeting an ill relative or even attending a funeral. But that's none of my business

I have a potential client based in EU. What's the best way to go about billing an under $50k project? (Google says PayPal but sounds a little weird to me).
My company’s new hybrid working model was finally announced. We’re in a high COL west coast city, but not tech so pay is mediocre. Option A is office/wfh combo. The office downsized, so hot desking 3 days, WFH 2 days. No stipend for supplies, internet, phone. Option B- We can apply for FT remote if we move, but will get a paycut for lower COL areas. No raises for higher COL moves. Still no stipend. Multi-billion $ company, did great bc of the pandemic. How mad should I be?
As a new immigration attorney I am not fully aware of the price I should charge for an EB-2 and EB-3. Could someone give a hint?
Will there be a salary bubble like the housing bubble? Hearing how much people with 2-7 yrs experience are getting offered to move companies is blowing my mind. At some point this is not going to be sustainable and salaries will drop back down to reality. However, I am concerned that all of those folks with inflated salaries will get in situations they can’t support after the correction. Then what happens?
Will Biden welcome the diversity of that fly Susan? Please Susan, Susan, Susan please...
Hi Everyone, I have 14yrs Exp, Project Manager, FinTech Domain, 30 LPA. When i am trying to switch, not able to find jobs matching the expectations of atleast 40% hike. Can anyone suggest companies that might be able to pay appropriately? Thanks in advance for the help.
Life of non-immigrants depend on the Visa they hold and it’s so sad these companies don’t have a team where we can speak to someone immediately in case of a visa emergency situation . In EY you need to submit a form and wait for days together to get a reply from a human. Mean time you would have gone through 5 anxiety attacks.
Welcome introverts! Bowl leader here. Hope most of you are about to enjoy a week of peaceful WFH. While here, let me know what you hope to get from this group & what you want to see more of. ⬇️
Is anyone experiencing a loss of staff because of the mental toll of this pandemic (parents and people to be everything to everyone while still maintaining work?) Even with company mental health programs, were struggling to keep staff (lots of HR issues).
My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.
Are there any permanent work from home job for cisco networking skills. I am 6 years experience and works in hcl technologies lucknow. I want to change the job and will be happy if I get permanent work from home
Which one is better in terms of career growth, job security, hikes and wlb. 1- PWC India - kolkata location (hometown) 2- Accenture - Bangalore (relocation not an issue) Fixed and joining bonus is same. Variable in ACN is 27%. PWC variable is not mentioned and is performance based. Also I heard that ACN is not that good with variables. Thanks in advance.
Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones? https://blog.shrm.org/blog/9-interesting-interview-questions-that-actually-reveal-a-lot-about-candidat
Got a job offer at Deloitte for manager level. Looking for a summary of benefits. I know 401k match but is there a waiting period, do you have something like pwc’s wealth builder. What is parental leave? What is the phone benefit? (Pwc subsidizes phone and pays plan). Health insurance I assume is crap but who is it through? Any random benefits that stick out to you that other firms might not have?
Had an interview with a TINY firm. Pretty much one partner and one associate(that i would replace as they are moving). Partner said PY they made 900k. He then says if you do 20% of the clients for 180k you tell me how much you want of that 180k. Okay so how do i say i want at least half of that when i have 1.5 years experience.... current associate said he made 40k year one and 50k year two...soemthing doesn’t add up???
