Feel the exact same. There are positions which can be worked remotely but people are demanding that people be in the office. This does not affect me in the least as I’m a field operations manager. It’s human nature to resist change and get out ones comfort zone.
The opposite happened to me, I adapted very quickly to the change. At first it was out of necessity but then I ended up liking it a lot.
I think it's safe to say that many people in the field feel the same way. It can be frustrating to see such a slow response to something that is so clearly necessary. However, I also think there are signs of hope. More and more people are recognizing the need for change, and slowly but surely, progress is being made.
I think it's mostly because people are afraid of change, but also because the field is so slow to adopt new technology. It's frustrating, but I'm hopeful that we can make some real progress soon.
It's easier to keep doing things the way they've always been done than to try something new. And also, people in the field can be very attached to their own ideas and ways of doing things
