It was a bit like someone flipped a switch. I’ve got plenty going on for existing customers who are finishing up projects but new projects and customers are few and far between.
No, the supply chain industry is not at a slow pace, it becomes slow because companies do not have a good time chain, that is, the processes are not optimized.
I think that this industry is slower or faster depending on the supplies, all supplies are different, that is, you cannot buy a supply company that is dedicated to the health sector with one that is dedicated to the construction sector, and delivery times are different.
For me it is a slow industry, I am a logistics manager and I can make a total plan to receive and deliver supplies and this plan can be designed 3 months before delivery, this shows me that things are slow.
In my personal opinion, it is not, but it is true that many utility companies are known for being very responsible but for taking a long time and they are aware of this and notify consumers, but many other companies do not mention that and what they do is to offer fast service when they really do not.
I have worked in 3 companies dedicated to the supply chain and there is always a department that is slower than others, that is, if they all worked in a unified way, better times would be achieved, but this is not the case and it makes all processes slow. . For example, warehouses and acquisitions work perfectly, but logistics is slower, it has more processes and is more bureaucratic, this makes everything slow, so it's not slow overall for me.
The group tends to be slow with a bad general manager, if you have well-oiled management with self-respect you will see that you can work in the fastest supply chain in the world, this is because you must detect which part of the chain is slower and attack that sector help with more workers or better staff preparation.
This time of year is always slower. The crappy economy isn’t a help either. But don’t worry, there isn’t any inflation… Let’s Go Brandon!
