I have my own office in my house. Have a tv and couch, a little putting green, extra monitors for my workspace. Also a cat tree and dog bed for the animals to be comfortable in too.
I get to work from home two days a week. So while my office at work is very plan and corporate feeling, my home office is the exact opposite. I have a lot of color and purchased some dry erase boards.
I use a small bedroom for my office. My standing desk and under desk treadmill have been a game changer for being able to get some movement in while working from home
I had to build an office in my basement for Covid. I only finished the wall that people can see behind me and decorated it with local sports memorabilia.
When I built it I added insulation to help with sounds, but I am not convinced it did much. It is only about 10x12 because there was not much more space I could take. I would love a bigger/better space, but that would require moving or adding on, neither of which is terribly realistic.
After that it is pretty basic: computer, 3 monitors, printer, etc.
We turned our dining room into an office, and we have two standing desks. My husband doesn't work from home, but he uses one of the desks when he does his paperwork, while I use both of them during the day. I know it seems silly to use both desks, but I really like to spread all my paperwork out, lol.
