Can someone kindly connect me with Investment Banking HR/Recruiter/anyone willing to help? My friend interviewed for Goldman Sachs NY. Cleared the HireVue but didn’t get any communication further. I would encourage you to do exactly your job and nothing else. If they need a supervisor, they may either need to hire you at a supervisory rate, or replace the person who left. Just putting it all on you is not sustainable.
I have been there before. You have to take this matter straight to HR or your manager. I would demand they hire a pt supervisor or state that your availability will be scaled back. Site personal health reasons or family commitments as your reasons, then you are protected from losing your position.
Sounds awful, and I'm sure it's extra stressful during the holidays. Can you start applying elsewhere? Or can you schedule a one on one with your supervisor's supervisor to talk about needing more resources? I think you're right that you're going to burn out, you gotta find a solution asap.

I should add that I am now the supervisor. But I am expected to get both jobs done even being short staffed, while recruiting for my replacement. I’m trying to avoid the inevitable, burn out 😫

That’s a tough one. Interview and hire as fast as you can! Maybe reach out to your network? Are you allowed to hire temps?

That sounds exhausting—being stretched that thin isn’t sustainable. Make sure you take whatever small breaks you can and look out for yourself.
