I am Sr. Software engineer with 9 YOE and proficiency in PHP, Codeigniter, Wordpress, Drupal, Html, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript. How much package should i have with these skills and experience? Please let me know if anyone has any idea.

I've noticed that my coworkers tend to work more on their own than with others, even when they're all in the office. Is this normal? I feel like it would be helpful for everyone to talk about their projects more often—I mean, what if someone else has solved the same problem you're trying to solve already?

I have a six figure job working as a hotel General Manager in NYC. After 20 + years in the industry I am no longer interested in staying in it. I’ve worked too hard to get to where I am at but no longer happy. What industry can I get into that will still pay me six figures and use similar skill set?

We have been looking to buy a slightly bigger house in a good school district. Our current home is in a not so great school district but our kids don’t start kinder until next year. Current home are pretty overpriced but we wonder if prices would ever come down. With interest rates still comparatively lower would you buy now or would you wait for a few years until the market settles down? We don’t plan to go above what we can afford but wondering if the same $$ would get us a better house later

I just landed this job in tech and some coworker already went to HR to complain about my tone at a virtual meeting. HR doesn’t seem to know what this person’s problem exactly is, but notified me without telling me which coworker complained. Everything going fine otherwise, my manager told me they’re happy with my work and I get along with most of the team. Have you been there? What would you do? I’m confused.

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

How do you suggest changing work flow on a team? Essentially I have to wait for one person on my team to assign me work to do, which doesn't make sense because we are the same position/seniority.
