I'd keep it short and sweet personally, I don't see any reason to go into details. I'm assuming you're starting a new chapter in your career - congratulations!!
I keep it simple! Give my last working date, appreciate the opportunities/experience (even if that isn’t true) and then move along. I will say I did have an exit interview one time where I did point out some of the issues, in the most professional way possible. Not sure if anything came of it but it did actually make me feel better.

Thank you for bringing this up. I was wondering if the issues at hand were worth including in the letter or if I save that for the exit interview. Bottom line, I just want to be heard. I feel like nothing positive ever comes from honest exit interviews….
My instinct would be that it's best to keep it to a minimal amount of necessary information. If you're leaving it's probably obvious why, and putting anything emotional in writing may be used against you. So just keep it more or less upbeat and looking to the future. The general theme might be that it's time to move on and you enjoyed working for the people the organization served and that's about it.

I appreciate this, thank you!
I have always just kept it minimal and made sure to include what my last day is going to be. You really don't have to include any extra details, just keep it short, sweet, and to the point.

Is it standard to give 2 or 3 weeks?
Oh, I keep it short and sweet no doubt I have no clue what to write in those things so it’s always something very thank you for the opportunity but something else has come up my last day will be in church blah blah blah right I just shorten week get it out

Let’s just say I’m being proactive at the moment should something go awry… I just have an ill feeling moving forward and a big part of it has to do with the results of huge Medicaid cuts and the already underserved kids and families we serve. I’m afraid we are going to get bought out or something…. So much uncertainty and angst… it’s exhausting! And then I turn on the news… 🤯
