OP, are you male or female? I'm female and I usually lean toward business casual, but I do put effort into looking polished. I like to add a little personality with color or accessories, but I keep it subtle so my usual outfits are a skirt, a crisp button-down or blouse, and sometimes a blazer if I have meetings. Look at some business professional or business casual inspiration boards on Pinterest. You’re already doing solid color shirts and pants, which is a great foundation. Maybe try adding a blazer, upgrading to dress shoes, or choosing slightly more structured pieces. Sometimes, it’s less about the formality and more about looking intentional and put-together.

love this !
I keep it simple with dark jeans or slacks and a clean button-down: easy, polished, and never gets weird looks. I work mostly from home, so I might not be a good help. If “Pinterest it” is the dress code, I’d say you’re already dressing more serious than the feedback itself.
send a daily pic of what you wear next week and I'll have more words for you.
Find out what the company dress code is and go from that. Somebody will always think you are overdressed or underdressed. Serious attire is, unforuntiy, not a dress code. The follow-up remark tells me they don’t seem to know either.
