It means recruiters are useless lol. No I'm jk, but I think that this is honestly the standard and at this point it's much more rare to find a good recruiter. I do think a more focused and dedicated recruiter might improve your chances of landing a role, but at the same time that's not always within your control. So just do your best with the situation. I don't think it necessarily means anything about the rest of the team or the culture.
Sometimes, it means your a perfect fit “ based on your resume”, needs to bring someone on right away. Oftentimes they cut through the basics, get right to the meat of it.
When that happens, I try to remind myself that not every door is meant to open. I take the quick rejections as redirection. It helps me stay focused on the roles where there's mutual interest and energy. And hey, sometimes a ‘meh’ interview just means I wasn’t their person, but that doesn’t mean I’m not someone else’s top pick.
I'd do this if a client was an exceptionally good or bad fit.
