Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

I’ve only visited but South Beach did not feel safe to me. I was called homophobic slurs twice just walking on the street with my bf at the time.

SoBe is trash, it attracts a lot of people from out of town that just want to drink and party, overwhelmingly straight people now.
I am Latin, living in miami for 5 years, it’s less inclusive vs Mexico City, and dating scene is as crazy as miami could be, a lot of options but for fun… nothing LTR… everything based on my experience
I moved this summer from SF and ended up buying a house in Fort Lauderdale vs Miami (we looked in Miami too).
Pros over SF: Weather 🌴 ☀️, food, cost of living, housing is much better, more access to shopping, swimming!
Cons over SF: Less inclusive, people are not as friendly but have better style, not walkable, Barry’s not as close
Gay community (Wilton Manors) is 5 min away but I haven’t done much there yet but go out to the bars once. Different vibe than the Castro but it was fun
No idea about dating here though (and I’m white)
