Focus on solving business problems, not on compliance to policy.

Focus on win-win solutions, not being “right.”

Get to know your company’s business. Walk the floor. Get to know your employees.

Agree agree agree. Also remember = business problems, not people problems. Everyone will come to you with their problems, don’t take the box. Be an ear but ultimately let people solve their own problems. Sometimes they need a little coaching and ideas on how to handle things but I always let my employees know I can help them facilitate solutions if they need but I’m only one person and if they want a solution the best and most efficient way is for them to spear head it. Some things I do need to be involved in but like 80% of problems have nothing to do with me and don’t require my attention so just don’t take other peoples boxes are all you’ll be doing is handling other peoples problems all day long and not getting anything of real substance done.

Could someone from Data Engineering team share your experience around following queries?

1. Do you get to work on big data projects and streaming data pipelines as well?

2. Which technical skills they would interview me for? (given that I have few months of full time experience in my current firm & prior Indian irrelevant experience)

3. Do you enjoy the working or does it get monotonous after few projects?

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
