What role do you believe storytelling plays in nonprofit advocacy, and can you share a powerful story that has influenced your work? Personally, I think sharing artwork and quotes from kids goes a long way and pulls on heartstrings….

I definitely think storytelling is key to nonprofit success, especially with the branding and finding donors. I think that people appreciate stories that share a mix of both tragedy and success. You don't want to completely depress your audience, you have to provide them a message of hope too. And yeah I think kids, older people, and animals are definitely the main groups to pull at the heart strings

Yes! It has to be a good balance between sad AND uplifting 🫶🏼

Storytelling in any capacity is at the very top of the list. It is an innate human need to connect. So, using it for non-profit is absolutely a must. There are a million non-profits. If you don’t work hard to make yours stand out then you’ll drown in the ocean. Or think of it like this, people want to connect, give them what they want to help those children. Otherwise, they will get looked over. Sad but true.

Expecting an offer this week or early next week, but want to know when you start negotiating the salary? When you receive the call from the company or wait until receiving the formal offer letter? And how should the negotiation start? Through phone calls or emails? Didn’t use recruiter for this position, so I don’t know what is the process here.
